Re: A027 and Raymarine E22158 Update

UPDATE After a second E22158 convertor was installed, the same behaviour exists. Apparently the converter doesn't see anything on the network. Can someone confirm whether the A027 should be "seen" on the network? It's the only device on the ST1 network. If not, I'll be forced to return the A027. Tha...

Re: A027 and Raymarine E22158 Update

It comes with a conversion cable. I cut the Seatalk1 end off to give me bare wires. Raymarine finally got back to me and said if I'm not seeing the voltage on the Seatalk1 wire varying (8-12V) that the converter is likely defective. I'm seeing a solid 10V when not connected to that QK-A027 and rough...

A027 and Raymarine E22158 Update

I had some time to do some testing yesterday. The LED is a solid "green" and the voltage on the Seatalk1 cable when not attached to anything is 10V (or so) and not varying (grounded to the shield). When the QK-A027 is powered up I read roughly the same voltage on both the Red (positive) and the Seat...

A027 and SeaTalk-NG

I'm getting ready to put an A027 on my SeaTalk-NG network. I understand the A027 takes power and data from the SeaTalk network, but the NG spur cables have 2 data wires (blue and white) instead of 1 (yellow) for SeaTalk 1. Which of the pair should I use for the single SeaTalk data input? Thanks. -Aa...
