question about qk-a026

Post by mauro »

Hi all,
I want to buy qk-a026 to set it on my boat, in order to send ais signal and nmea sentences coming from the other instruments to my tablet.
I have only one question: may the internal gps cause any problem if another gps sends data through the nmea input?
thank you in advance
MG

You can use it in this way, but you maybe see your position hops sometimes(due to two independent GPS source). Not a big difference(several meters, maybe).
If your setup have already get GPS, so maybe QK-A024 is the better one for you.

By default, A024/026 works in ad-hoc mode. 'QK-A024_4u97' is the SSID which you need to access through your smart phone. Once the connection setup up, you should be able to receive AIS messages through WiFi. Nothing with Internet connection in Ad-hoc mode.
If you need to access internet while keep receiving AIS messages you need setup it under station mode. Good luck.
