QK-A027 questions
Hi, I just purchased an QK-A027 and I have two questions. First, I'm not planning to use Seatalk, so if I just hook up the 12v and ground wires will that be sufficient for AIS and GPS use? And second, for the AIS/VHF antenna splitter, do I need a powered splitter specifically designed for AIS use, or am I just looking to share the antenna wire between two devices with a cheap little line splitter? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks
Re: QK-A027 questions
Hello, 1, Yes, you still need 12V and GND connected even don't need data on SeaTalk port.
2, You need the powered spliter if the antenna shared with VHF radion, otherwise QK-A027 could be damaged! Thanks

can we swap for a working one?

Our answer is, connect 12V from Seatalk terminals. QK-A027 do need 12V!
