Quark AIS and navionics

My navionics plus on my iPad is an expired version. When I try to activate the AIS targets on the navionics app it is unselectable and says that I must upgrade. Is this correct please anyone?

Hi, you do need upgrade your APP to receive the AIS data. Good luck!
